Our friends over at Ban the Ban Wisconsin brought this to our attention. Watch the two videos, and see if you notice a shocking similarity.

    People forget that Hitler was elected. The true scare here is how many times we will repeat history – usually the bad stuff – yet we walk about claiming to be enlightened by our past. These two examples are more than an unhappy coincidence, and I am starting to feel a bit too much like those on the wrong side of the Hitler tyranny. Hold on to your smokes, cheeseburgers and lord knows what else (books? speech? property? Freedom? Yes, freedom), it’s going to be a bumpy road. I just wish there was a way to show the masses of people these things, not just the ones that are searching the information out for themselves.

    Unfortunately, in spite of what many believe, big tobacco is not supporting us in any way shape or form. In fact, they are supporting the anti-smoker agenda by providing them millions of dollars from the tobacco settlement. They are the ones who can afford the billboards, radio and TV ads, and they are ones who always seem to have their opinions in the newspapers. We, on the other hand, are virtually ignored, and can’t afford to educate the public.

    As a former resident of Minnesota I applaud you on your efforts. As far as being accused of being a Big Tobacco front, that is a common tactic of Tobacco Control I wrote about it on Ban the Ban Wisconsin.
